Welcome to Basecamp

For NCAC 2027, Yuba-Sutter Fairgrounds is home base!

After each day on the road, you'll return to the same place to shower, relax, grab a meal, get a massage, hang out with friends, and recharge for the next day's ride.

Choose Your Sleeping Style

Whether you're all about sleeping under the stars, prefer a little more shelter, or want the comfort of a hotel, there are several options for staying near Basecamp.

⛺ Outdoor Camping
Pitch your tent on the grassy fairgrounds and enjoy the full NCAC camping experience.
🏢 Indoor Camping
Prefer to skip the tent? Bring your sleeping bag and camp inside the fairgrounds hall.
🚐 RV Camping
A limited number of RV spaces will be available onsite for an additional fee.
🏨 Hotel
Prefer a real bed and a little more privacy? Several hotels are located within a short drive of Basepcamp.

Camping at Basecamp

Outdoor Tent Camping

Set up your tent on the spacious grassy area at the Yuba-Sutter Fairgrounds and enjoy camping under the stars.

Bring your own:

  • Tent

  • Sleeping bag

  • Sleeping pad or air mattress

  • Pillow

  • Anything else you need to make yourself comfortable

NCAC does not provide tents, sleeping bags, sleeping pads, or other camping equipment.

Indoor Camping

Not a fan of sleeping in a tent? No problem!
Indoor camping is available inside the fairgrounds hall. Just unroll your sleeping bag and settle in for the night.
Indoor camping is a great option if you'd rather skip the tent—or if the weather isn't cooperating.
Bring your own sleeping gear. NCAC does not provide sleeping bags, sleeping pads, or bedding.

RV Camping

A limited number of RV spaces will be available at Basecamp for an additional fee.
RV spaces must be arranged directly through NCAC before arrival.

RV Schedule

Wednesday, May 13:
RVs may be dropped off before 4:00 PM.

Sunday, May 17:
RVs may be removed after the ride.

Monday pickup:
Monday pickup may be available for an additional nightly fee.

RV rental fees are paid directly to the Yuba-Sutter Fairgrounds at drop-off.

Please note: NCAC does not provide transportation for RVs to or from Basecamp.

Prefer a Hotel?

If camping isn't your thing, you're not alone!
NCAC does not provide transportation or a shuttle between hotels and Basecamp, so cyclists and crew staying offsite are responsible for getting themselves to and from the Fairgrounds.

NCAC expects to once again secure a discounted group rate for the 2027 Ride.
The hotel is located less than ½ mile from Basecamp, making it one of the most convenient options for participants who prefer a hotel.

Life at Basecamp

Basecamp isn't just where we sleep—it's where the NCAC community comes together.
After you're done riding for the day, clean up, grab a snack, and relax. Depending on the day, you may find:

  • 🚲 Stories from the day's ride

  • 🎤 Evening presentations

  • 🏆 NCAC awards and prizes

  • ❤️ Stories from our beneficiaries and participants

  • 🎉 Plenty of time to hang out with your fellow cyclists and crew

Dinner & Evening Presentations

A fully catered buffet-style dinner will be served each evening after the routes close, giving everyone a chance to shower, relax, and reconnect before dinner.
After dinner, gather with the NCAC community for our evening presentation. You'll hear from beneficiaries, learn about the day's highlights, celebrate accomplishments, hand out some well-deserved prizes, and—most importantly—spend time together.
It's one of the things that makes NCAC more than just a bike ride. Whether you're all about sleeping under the stars, prefer a little more shelter, or want the comfort of a hotel, there are several options for staying near Basecamp.

A Few Things to Know

🛏️ NCAC does not provide camping equipment
If you're camping, bring your own tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, pillow, and other personal camping gear.

🚐 RV spaces are limited
Onsite RV camping requires advance arrangements with NCAC and additional fees paid directly to the Fairgrounds.

🚗 Staying at a hotel?
There is no NCAC hotel shuttle. You'll need to arrange your own transportation between your hotel and Basecamp.
